Beginning April 2008, the Curtenius Guard Camp #17 began hosting a series of seminars devoted to Civil War History. The program was conceived of by Camp Commander Paul David Arnold. In 2008, three such seminars were put on by the Camp.

Each of the 2008 seminars has been a success such that the Camp plans on continuing the program in 2009. The first seminar in 2009 will take place on February 24th and will feature Mr., Roger Rosentreter, Editor of Michigan History Magazine and local Civil War Expert.

KGH
